This is the new web site for the Derby Diocesan Association of Church Bellringers. All the information should now be up to date (some tower information is being sought and modified). If you notice it it isn’t please email the webmaster. If the information is missing (please let the webmaster know), there is a legacy copy of the previous site here for reference.
Do please register and login (click here). You will then be able to comment on the posts and (if you promise to behave) I’ll even let you add your own! (I’m also looking for volunteers to add to and amend the content)

We are a group of about 650 bell ringers in Derbyshire (or the Diocese of Derby) who meet to
ring and socialise together, give support and training, promote bell ringing and provide bell
The association is split into 4 districts: Central, Chesterfield, Peak, and Southern.

The working party looking at the future of the DDA have agreed on a questionnaire to seek the views and opinions of our membership on as wide a basis as possible. The Education Committee will now be running this course on 11th November – 10:00 to 16:00 (postponed from 13th May). The venue is yet to be confirmed (when it is we will put up a poster for your tower). It will be run by John Fisher. Cost will be around £10 per applicant. To mark the 40th anniversary of Derby being granted city status, the bells of Derby Cathedral – the oldest ring of ten bells in the world – will ring a peal in celebration.
