Training Survey (Tower)

Welcome to the DDA Education Survey for Tower Captains

If you are not a tower captain, please use this form for individual ringers.

The survey should take only a few minutes to complete. Most questions allow you to enter a comment (in case you need to clarify an answer). Please be aware that your answers may be circulated to Education, District or General Committee members - please avoid disclosing any sensitive information.

How many ringers do you have 'on your books'. Count those ringers who consider your tower to be their home tower. Do not count ringers who ring regularly with you, but do consider another tower to be their home.

How many times do you usually ring for service in a month?

When you do ring for service, how many ringers are present (including regular visitors who are not members of your team counted earlier).

How many times do you usually ring for practice in a month?

When you do ring for practice, how many ringers are present (including regular visitors who are not members of your team counted earlier).

How many ringers have learned to ring in the past 2 years?

How many of these learners have given up ringing?

How many of your own ringers (exclude regular visitors) can:

Ring rounds (unaided) and call changes

Ring tenor behind to doubles

Ring plain hunt on 5 or more bells

Ring more advanced methods (Little Bob, Treble to Cambridge, Kent or Oxford on an inside bell)

Ring more complicated methods (e.g. Stedman Doubles or Cambridge Minor)

Please indicate if your tower would like help with any of the following:

Would anyone from your tower be likely to attend our next bell maintenance in October?

Would anyone from your tower be interested in the attending an ART Module 1 (Bell Handling) course?

We are thinking of organising district get-togethers for Tower Captains to discuss any local issues they may be experiencing, and ways the DDA may be able to help. Do you think this would be beneficial?

Please enter any other comments you think might be appropriate suggestions for other training maybe?)

Finally, please encourage your ringers to take part in our survey for ringers. As well as expressing an interest in the training events we may offer, we are also looking for volunteers to help out.
